Branding - is the process of creating a identity for a company. This usually includes a brand, brand name, identity and brand experience. The brand experience is how the end-users will interact with all the advertising and graphics for the brand. Brand designer work to create every aspect of a brand. This includes name, conception, identity, and sometime brand revitalization.

Publication Design - is the process of making information accessible, clearly communicated, and visual appealing to the end-users. Publication designers work to create newsletters, books, magazine, and newspapers.

Identity Design - is a coordinated and consistent design program for a product, brand, group, or company. identity designer work to create unique logos. They incorporate the logos in every aspect of the visual identity.

Advertising - is motivating or persuading the end-users with specific verbal and visual messages. Advertising designers work to create television commercial, print ads, web sites, web banner ads, pod casts, samples / product placement or mailings.

Promotional Design - is design intended to introduce, promote, and sell products, events, or services. Promotional design usually falls under the category of advertising.
