Design

There is no correct graphic design. Most problems can be solved in a number of different ways. Although, each solution may meet the needs and wants of the end-users, some solutions may have more positive impact and less unwanted consequences than others. It is the designers responsibility to choose the best possible solution with the end-user and ethical concerns in mind.

Designers work with clients to determine the best type of design application and media to solve the problem. It is very unlikely that any two people would solve the same problem in the same way.

Seeing what others are doing or what the competition is doing is a great starting point in design. When creating designs you want to be unique and familiar. You want to avoid solving the problem the exact same way as someone else. This will give your brand its unique image. This will also reduce confusion between your brand and the competition.

Design is the creation, selection, combination, arrangement and organization of visual and text elements.

Over time, many designers develop a style. A style is a designers distinctive method of solving problems and communicating messages.
