Course Description

Technology influences every aspect of our lives. This course is important because technical drawing is vital for the inception, development, and communication of ideas related to technology, industry, and scientific development. Technical drawing is an important form of communications. Technical Drawing two is a continuation of the skills developed in Technical Drawing 1 (TEC552).

Our Involvement and participation will provide us with:

* Mastery and understanding of advanced drafting concepts and the use of the drafting
   tools.
* Use and understanding of geometric construction related to technical drawing and
   actual production objects.
* Understanding and practice of perspective drawing concepts as related to practical
   applications.
* Understanding and practice of auxiliary views as related to practical applications.
* Understanding and practice of intersections and developmental drawing.
* Use of Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) as a "real-world" tool through the
   use of the AutoCAD program to generate 2D drawings, SolidWorks to generate 3D
   models and Blender to create renderings, animations, and 3D real-time logic.
* Understanding and practice of threads, fasteners, springs, gears, and cams creation.
* Knowledge on careers related to technical drawing.
