Methane digester are used to treat wastewater and solids. Animal waste is processes and converted into solid matter, a liquid and methane gas. The gas can be used for electricity, the solid matter and liquid can be added to soil for fertilization. Because of the initial cost and unfamiliarity of methane digesters, they have not gain much popularity
